Mental Health Services

NAPH Clinic provides professional mental health services including:

  • Individual and group therapy sessions
  • Psychological assessments and evaluations
  • Couple and family therapy
  • Corporate mental health consultancy
  • Crisis intervention and emergency support
  • Referral services to other healthcare providers

Important: Our services are not a substitute for emergency medical care. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact emergency services immediately.

Appointments & Cancellations

Appointment Scheduling: Appointments can be scheduled through our website, phone, or in-person. We require advance notice for scheduling to ensure proper preparation.

Cancellation Policy: We require 24 hours' notice for appointment cancellations. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a cancellation fee of 50% of the session cost. This policy helps us maintain availability for other clients.

Late Arrivals: If you arrive late for your appointment, we will provide services for the remaining time. Full session fees still apply.

Payment & Fees

Session Fees: All fees are due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made. We accept cash, bank transfers, and major credit cards.

Insurance: We work with various insurance providers. Please contact us to verify your coverage and understand your benefits. You are responsible for any co-pays, deductibles, or non-covered services.

Sliding Scale: We offer reduced fees based on financial need. Please discuss this option with our administrative staff before your first session.

Client Responsibilities

As a client, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about your mental health history
  • Attend scheduled appointments on time
  • Complete assigned homework or exercises between sessions
  • Communicate openly and honestly with your therapist
  • Respect the therapeutic relationship and boundaries
  • Pay fees in a timely manner
  • Notify us of any changes in contact information
  • Follow safety plans and crisis protocols when provided

Limitations & Disclaimers

No Guarantees: While we are committed to providing quality care, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes from therapy. Progress depends on many factors including client participation and individual circumstances.

Emergency Situations: Our services are not suitable for emergency mental health situations. In case of crisis, please contact emergency services or visit the nearest hospital.

Technology Limitations: For online sessions, we are not responsible for technical difficulties, internet connectivity issues, or equipment malfunctions.

Legal & Ethical Compliance

Our practice operates in compliance with:

  • Kenyan Mental Health Act and regulations
  • Professional codes of ethics for psychologists and counselors
  • Data protection and privacy laws
  • Healthcare licensing requirements
  • Professional standards for mental health practice

Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Harassment or threatening behavior toward staff or other clients
  • Recording sessions without explicit written consent
  • Sharing confidential information about other clients
  • Attempting to access other clients' records or information
  • Using our services for illegal activities
  • Providing false information about identity or insurance

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify clients of significant changes through our website or direct communication.
